From the Farm to the Capital

The experience and knowledge I have gained in 40+ years as a farmer and businessman and 25+ years serving my community in local and statewide organizations are being put to use serving the people and communities of District 25.

Just like you, I believe in Idaho and I know our work to continue to support our state and its people is far from over.

I've served my community and my state in a variety of ways over the past 25 years and I'm honored to put my experience to work for you at the Capital.

Transportation, Business, Agriculture, Water, and Education have alway been important to me and continue to be at the forefront of the work I do for Idaho.

In the past, I have served as a Filer Highway Dist. Commissioner, and currently serve as a Board member of Filer Mutual Telephone Co., a member of the Twin Falls County Fair Foundation, member of the Filer American Legion, and served as chairman of the Filer School District Long Range Planning Committee when we built the new High School.

On the state level, I am the Past President of Idaho Grain Producers Association (IGPA), Past President of the Idaho Hay & Forage Assn., and Past President of the Idaho Assn. of Highway Districts.

I've also served as past Chairman of the Seed Indemnity Fund, an advisory committee to the Idaho State Department of Agriculture and I served six years on the Idaho Barley Commission from 2000 to 2006. In that role I represented barley growers from Idaho to the U.S. Grains Council and traveled on several foreign trade missions representing American barley growers.

I’ve farmed for over 40 years on our diversified hay, grain and row crop farm and before that I served in the U.S. Air Force 1968-1972 and I am a Vietnam Veteran.

I am a 1968 Filer high School graduate and a lifelong resident of the Magic Valley.

I’ve been married to my wife Debbie over 47 years. We have two children and three grandsons who constantly motivate me to help create and sustain an Idaho they'll be proud to inherit.

I am honest and capable and I believe my experience and political philosophy fit well with the people and communities of District 25.

I believe in building consensus through common sense and I believe in transparency in government. Most importantly, I want to hear from you. Your voice matters and I'm honored to represent you.
